Frances Cybenko, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Nationally Certified with over 10 years of psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings.

Many come to my private practice after months—or even years—of trying to understand why they or their child is struggling with focus, emotions, anxiety, or keeping up with daily expectations.

If that’s where you are, you’re not alone.

About Frances

I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I’ve always been drawn to helping people navigate mental health challenges—especially when things feel overwhelming, unclear, or difficult to put into words.

Over time, I began to notice a pattern. Many individuals were trying their best to manage anxiety, stress, or emotional struggles—but something still didn’t fully add up.

That’s when I started to look more closely at ADHD.

I found that many women and children were being misunderstood or overlooked. What appeared to be anxiety, mood concerns, or behavioral challenges often had something deeper underneath.

That realization shaped the focus of my work.

If you have been wondering whether something more may be going on, you do not need to have all the answers before reaching out. Schedule an evaluation today for peace of mind.

Understanding What Often Gets Missed

My passion for this work comes from both professional experience and personal understanding.

I have seen firsthand how children who are bright, curious, and capable can still struggle in ways that are often misunderstood—sometimes labeled as anxiety, behavioral concerns, or simply needing to “try harder.”

In reality, many of these children are working much harder than others just to keep up.

When ADHD goes unrecognized, it can follow them into adolescence and adulthood, where years of coping can lead to exhaustion, self-doubt, and a sense that something just isn’t quite right.

I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families gain clarity, reduce frustration, and better understand how ADHD may be impacting their lives—and how the right support can make a meaningful difference.

As both a clinician and a parent, I understand how deeply families want to support their children while searching for answers that truly make sense.
